June 13, 2008
Took some action on Euro 2008 Soccer this morning. Haven’t had time to write about it until now. (The first match has already concluded) Oh well.

NBA Results
June 13, 2008
I went to bed after seeing the Celtics down by 20 points in the first half. I was pleasantly suprised this morning to find out they had come back to win the game (and therefore covered the spread). Good news for me!
Winners:
Celtics +7.5 Risk 1 for +97 payout
That adds to this week’s winnings and puts me at +377 units for the week. It has been a pretty good week so far, though we are just starting off.

Intentions for this site
June 10, 2008
Obviously, my first post is up already and we know what baseball games I will be watching tonight. I thought I might share why I started this site.
I am a guy who works for a living in a job that has nothing to do with sports. I am starting from scratch with a few bucks deposited into one of these online sportsbooks. I get my picks from my own sports knowledge as well as a few handicapping blogs and websites that I follow (all of which are free). When I do use a handicapper’s opinion or pick I will post a link to their pick that I followed.
Who knows where we go from here. Ideally I would end up filthy rich, be able to quit my day job, and put my winnings into something less risky (lottery tickets anyone?). Although I am much more likely to lose some (a lot perhaps) of money. The only thing that I REALLY hope for is to have a lot of fun. I expect this to be a bit of a roller coaster ride, so off we go!
First post! MLB action for 6/10/08
June 10, 2008
Well here we go. I’m obviously pretty new at this blogging thing, so we will see how this goes.
Here is what I have for MLB tonight.
Rangers (Millwood) +105 over Royals (Meche) – I like Scott Ferrall’s logic on this pick. Jose Guillen is HOT right now and Meche is 0-3 in his last 4 starts. Rangers win this one.
Mariners (Silva) +170 over Blue Jays (McGowan)
Orioles (Cabrera) +190 over Red Sox (Beckett)
Padres (Maddux) -132 over Dodgers (Kershaw) – Kershaw has been getting shelled. In 14.2 innings pitched this year, he has given up 9 walks, 8 runs, and 2 homeruns.
Giants (Misch) +167 over Rockies (Cook)
Cubs (Lilly) -160 over Braves (Glavine)
